SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

I didn't see the signs that mark a "normal" path to faith in Jesus. If there is an easy route to Christianity, I missed it.

Have you ever stared at something you couldn't see? I have. For thirty years I ignored God and His invitation to a life of peace. Then I encountered a series of situations for which I was not prepared.

First my Mom died after a bitter battle with lung cancer. My marriage collapsed under the weight of depression, and I impulsively quit my job and ran away to "start a new life" in Colorado. Of course the unresolved issues tagged along, and I found myself alone and lost in a strange city. That's when God stepped in and guided me to a small church where I met the pastor who began my introduction to Jesus.

Though I learned about Jesus, I still didn't understand my personal relationship with Him. God was preparing me, building the foundation that would support me when my life changed forever.

A Sudden Turn

Permanent paralysis has a way of focusing attention. My injury highlighted the lack of an internal frame of reference, and rather than fighting to regain my life I simply quit. I wasted a decade in self-pity, convinced that nothing useful remained. But God wasn't finished.

Through a series of inspirational individuals, God showed me a life filled with hope, meaning, and focus. I confronted my undisciplined, wandering existence and discovered what it really meant to invite Jesus into my life as Lord.

Hope exists even in the most tragic circumstances because God works for good in all things. Life Is Good because that's how God created it. Even in the face of overwhelming evil, Jesus offers fullness, hope and the promise of authentic significance.

My passion is to share that message of hope, love, and redemption with others.
