I recently listened to an <a href="http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=126323606
"> interview on NPR with a man who was disabled</a>
. His perspecive made me stop and think. He was talking about people trying to find a cure for spinal muscular atrophy and here is a quote from the interview which says it all: "My disability is part of who I am. It's all I've ever known. Who would I be without it? It doesn't define me, but it has informed every aspect of my life. Even as a child, I never dreamed of walking. Flying, yes. I wanted to be a superhero, but I never wanted to be just like everyone else. " We are all perfect spirits and connected to each other through our higher consciousness or divine understanding. If we see people as spirit, we are all equally abled. Blessings, Sherry
