Fifteen Lessons I Learned From My Dog

by Rich Dixon on March 27, 2010

Last week Monte and I visited with some kids and parents about service dogs as part of a Spring Break series about working dogs. I shared some of the lessons I’ve learned from sharing life with Monte.

This video shows some of the slides I used. I hope you enjoy it.

What else have you learned from your pet?

That was good! I ike the one about Trusting God…our dogs trust us with their lives. I provided respite care last week and cared for a girl who is 100% dependent on others to care for her. Her mother who was very sick…called to tell me that she trusts me (not only) with her daugter, but more importantly with her daughter's LIFE! Can most of us say that about our relationship with God?

I love it, Rich, and I don't even have a pet OR a service dog :)
