I'm in something of a dark place, for whatever reason. Is anyone in there with me? Other than Jesus, whose presence I may or may not recognize, probably not. So ANYthing I do to intentionally reach out to others from that place, forces me to come out of that place, because they're not IN there, they're out THERE.:) It's the best way out for sure. Reminds me of a couple of haikus I wrote that I think are relevant: Need a helping hand? Then try your hand at helping Blessing in giving (Acts 20:35, Prov 11:25, Luke 21:1-4) Life's not what happens It's how you respond to it Opposite spirit (Prov 17:22, Luke 6:27-31, Rom 12:14, 17-21...) Every form of depression attempts to isolate. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we can say "NO" to that invitation and say "YES!" to the opposite Spirit and invitation and reach out to others.
